The Divisional Choirs Cabaret is an entertaining evening that showcases our choirs performing contemporary genres of music. This event is a major fundraiser that enables us to fund new uniforms, grad flowers & travel subsidies.

Date: Sunday, April 24, 2016

Location: Sturgeon Heights Collegiate

Time: 7:00 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Rush Seating

Intermission: drinks and dainties in the cafeteria

Fundraising: Silent Auction and 50/50 Sales

Instructions

Director’s will send each choir instructions for arrival times and meeting rooms

Ticket Prices

$10.00
 Children 5 and under FREE (they must still have a ticket)


Volunteer Tickets $5.00

Tickets are limited and are available on a first come first served basis.

Ticket Ordering Information

Each family must pre order their tickets on the chorister cabaret ticket order form attached and hand in with full payment to the attendance takers or choir directors no later than Wednesday, April 16, 2016. Tickets will be handed out once payment is received in full at the following practice.

SJASD Choirs Committee signed up for a wonderful text reminder to eliminate paper and keep you in the know using your cell phones. We will use “REMIND” as a text reminder to keep you updated on fundraising dates and information on important concert details.

All fundraisers that have been planned thus far will be going towards individual choristers accounts. Thank you for your participation.

All fundraisers are time sensitive for ordering and would be appreciated on the date due as no late orders will be accepted. Please submit to the attendance takers or to your Choir Director. Thank You.

All fundraisers will need to be picked up on dates listed below. Our designated location for picking up all orders will be at Sturgeon Heights Collegiate, 2665 Ness Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3J 1A5 (204) 888-0684, Teachers Lounge. Please enter at the side doors by the ramp. Order pickup times for each fundraiser will be sent out via “REMIND” and emails. Thank You!

ChoralFest Manitoba is an annual festival presented by the Manitoba Choral Association. It is non-competitive. ChoralFest provides choirs and conductors an opportunity to work with well-known adjudicators and expert clinicians in a workshop setting to improve their choral skills.

Choirs are scheduled and perform in pods of three. 15 minute warm-up, 15 minute performance, 30 minute clinic. Maximum of 3 pieces. More information can be found on the MCA website.

A huge thank you to the Divisional Choir Directors-Avonlea Armstrong, Alice Russell and Heather Neufeld for a fantastic Divisional Choir's Fall Concert on October 29, 2015.

The Divisional Children's Choir Parents hosted a beautiful reception for our guests following the concert. Thank you to all for your part in making this a special evening!
